Anyone remember Flash Gordon?

These would have been perfect for that movie. I'm having a hard time coming up with another set of surroundings in which they'd fit right in, however. Barbarella's space opera too, so I'm not sure that's all that different. The opening of really posh swamp-themed museum?

For some reason ultra high heels are what "fashionable" women want and wear. Not surprisingly, they change into comfy flats as soon as they can. Tottering around unable to really be grounded? What's wrong with this picture? Me, as soon as I started to develop a bunion and back problems (many, many years ago) I tossed all my heels. Just call me Flip Flop Girl. They are pretty though - sort of like those really deadly plants and animals.
